Gantt View: Open to Today's Date Option

Going to pitch in here, I have not experienced this issue until about 2 weeks ago. On emailing SS I received the following, "Upon trying and testing on my end, whenever I try to use the 'Today's Date' function in the Project Settings- it is working as expected. Upon checking our resources, there are currently no known issues in Smartsheet. See <\/em>https:\/\/status.smartsheet.com\/<\/em><\/a>" <\/em><\/p>
The email went on with a host of options to try, I opened SS outside our cloud network without issue however, once back in our cloud the issue continues even today; it's driving out IT Dept. mad trying to resolve.<\/p>

The option should work inside or outside of our network. Smartsheet needs to fix this - or remove the option.

I agree, we're still experiencing the issue. We have around 140 projects and 5 construction managers, and this problem is driving us crazy too. Over several weeks, the SS Tier 3 escalations engineers and our IT department worked together via email and Zoom, created shared sheets, and removed all securities and firewalls. We worked across different time zones and operating systems, both in and out of the cloud, but we still haven't found a resolution.

I last requested an update on March 7th regarding case #05782239, and essentially, the response was that the bug has been filed, and they'll reach out when it's fixed. We're still waiting for an update.

Hi Linda,

By chance do you operate in on a CITRIX or simular cloud based platform? This is the latest reply from SS.

"Smartsheet's conditional check relies on "Unix timestamp" and anything that affects the date value to not respect that format could potentially cause the function to not work properly."
