How to source a Drop Down list from a column in a Report?
I have a "PO Request" sheet where I want a drop down list of Vendors to be pulled in from an ever refreshing report of Approved Vendors. It seems incredible that this drop down has to be updated manually. Is this really true or is there a workaround?

HI- I believe DataMesh can help with updating your dropdown details. Or Bridge, if you have it. Bridge is more technical to set up though.

Data Shuttle will do this. Export the list of vendors to a csv attached to the PO Request sheet, then another Data Shuttle to import the csv to the pulldown for the column you want.
The one trick is that if you want to have the list sorted you have to remember to sort the source sheet. We get around this by using the Smartsheet API and have a job that runs every hour to sort the sheet,'
