Can I hide predecessor lines in a gantt chart?

How is it possible that since 2019 this simple feature is neither noted on where it is in the product roadmap or implemented? Do you realize how often this ugly dependency-line covered Gantt has to be RECREATED in a deck presentation? Should we use Microsoft Project instead, which has had this feature since...2010?

If I want to export the schedule without the lines I go under [project settings] andtemporarilychange [predecessor column] from "predecessor" to "comments".

Update: I logged this issue with Smartsheet Support. Not sure what they did ..but they did something on their end and said it was fixed.
