Is it possible to remove a checkbox out of a single cell even when you require them in the rest of the column?

You can insert an Image into the cell to hide it..

When we want to hide checkboxes, we add a period to the cell and change the font to white.

Has there been any update on this?
There should be a better solution then just inserting an image or period. This can get cumbersome with large amounts of data.

Really??? That is so lame! I did the same thing thinking "I know this is the worst hack ever, but after hours of trying to figure it out I gave in!"

Ok, I found it. Classic case of submit something for help, then find the answer. I think what may have happened previously, is that I turned on all the filters, but since there isn't one for a Deleted Row, maybe the Deleted Row was hidden.
